A new federal law called the Deficit Reduction Act (DRA) is about to take effect in Illinois that will have an impact on anyone needing long-term or assisted living care.
Elder Law Attorney Tiffanny H. Sievers, owner of SI Elder Law in Marion, will give a free presentation on the potential effects of the DRA for seniors on Tuesday, July 20 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Williamson County Pavilion in Marion.
Anyone who has transferred assets or gifted money over the last five years and might be needing nursing home or assisted living care in the foreseeable future can minimize the effects of the DRA if they act now. Sievers, who is president-elect of the Illinois Chapter of The National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys will give a review of the proposed Illinois DRA rules and what it means to those needing elder care.
Please RSVP to SI Elder Law, 997-3500 by July 19 to attend the seminar.
